Nurse Consultant
Eileen Kohler Barnett is a Florida licensed registered nurse. She earned her Associate of Science Degree in Nursing from Pasco-Hernando Community College in Port Richey where she was the Vice President of her class, the Student Nurses’ Association, and a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society.
Ms. Barnett has been practicing as an RN for twenty nine years initially as a medical surgical nurse in a regional medical center in the Tampa Bay area. Ms. Barnett moved to Gainesville when she accepted a position in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida where she was promoted to a Charge Nurse position for its twenty four bed tertiary care unit caring for very high acuity patients zero through twenty one years of age transported from Georgia to the Tampa Bay area.
Ms. Barnett continued her education while working in the PICU and earned her Bachelor of Science in Professional Management and Business Administration with high honors from Nova Southeastern University.
Ms. Barnett has been working in Marion County for twenty three years. She is has worked as a Clinical Supervisor in the Emergency Department, Practice Administrator for an Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care/Occupational Health practice, as a field nurse, Clinical Supervisor, Director of Clinical Services, District Administrator, and Regional Director of Clinical Operations in home healthcare.
In addition, Ms. Barnett has additional education and experience in Forensic Nursing and Legal Nurse Consulting. It is in the capacity of an independent contractor that Ms. Barnett assists our firm and clients. While Ms. Barnett cannot and will not offer and legal or medical advice, her role is to help our clients. Navigating the healthcare system to utilize resources to access the care the clients need as well as understanding the medical forms for application and appeals processes to qualify for Social Security benefits.
[Ms. Barnett is the proud mother of fraternal twins. Her son is an insurance agent and her daughter is a second year law student. Ms. Barnett enjoys spending time with her family/friends/two miniature long-haired dachshunds, tennis, motorcycle riding, being near the water, lying in a hammock with a good book, and visiting her native NYC.]
